Rattles or Shakers are very important in the Indigenous musical tradition. They can be played by absolutely anyone. We make a baby rattle cuz that is the best place to start a child off with musical inspiration. Of course the rattle goes straight into the infant’s mouth…but eventually they learn how to make noise with it. Our hope is that we all carry a rattle throughout our lives because there are always moments we need to shake it up. 100% Canadian!
