Bear Root- Osha

Freshly harvest Bear Root: Bear Root, also known as Osha is traditionally used to treat respiratory illnesses such as the common cold or bronchitis. BUT it is also VERY popular among Powwow Singers, cuz nothing soothes over worked vocal cords like Bear Root. We have a customer who is an opera singer who absolutely worships the healing properties of Bear Root, swearing to us that “we would make millions if we market Osha directly for singers.” lol. But seriously ever traditional medicine chest should have some Bear Root in it, and cold season is coming. You can either bit off a bit of the root and such on it. It tastes sort of like a celery. Or it can also be steeped in hot water and drunk as a tea. Our Osha is harvested in the Rocky Mountains.

Product Description

Bear Root is in stock just in time for Powwow Season. Bear Root is traditionally used in herbal medicine to treat symptoms of respiratory illnesses such as the common cold or bronchitis. BUT it is also VERY popular among Powwow singers cuz nothing soothes an over worked throat during a weekend of singing better than Bear Root. Singers will bite off a bit of root and stick it up under your lip and then just sucking/chewing on it will seriously ease a soar throat. Keep your voice sweet and strong all weekend long!! The item I got surpassed my expectations. The gasp I gasped when I opened the box and removed the paper! This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and it was a pleasure to engage with the staff via email when I had questions. I will treasure this piece and be returning for more!

The custom painted horse in the spirit of my wife's late horse brings her joy every time she uses it. It's going on over a year old with heavy use and it looks as perfect as the day I unwrapped it from being shipped.

I buy all the hide and fur I use for making moccasins from Tribal Spirit. The quality is amazing, and the variety is much appreciated. I also really love the traditional medicines they have available. There is often a kind note in the delivery - handwritten telling you that they sent a little extra. 🥺 As a customer, I feel a connection with this store - from the descriptions they create to describe a colour of hide, to the small batch herbal remedies, to the very fast response and kind you’ll receive if you have a question. 10 stars.
