Rat Root (also called sweet flag, wikkaii or weegas). This Manitoba-harvested species (Acorus americanus) is free of the carcinogenic that is found in the root imported from India and Asia.

Within the Native American community Rat Root has a pain relieving effect and was effective in fighting off colds, coughs, upset stomachs and fevers. It gets its name because muskrats like to chew on these roots. Can be chewed on when you feel a cold coming on. A poultice of the crushed root is used externally to help with muscle cramps. Crushed is easier to use when making a tea.

Not to be used by pregnant women.

The item I got surpassed my expectations. The gasp I gasped when I opened the box and removed the paper! This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and it was a pleasure to engage with the staff via email when I had questions. I will treasure this piece and be returning for more!

The custom painted horse in the spirit of my wife's late horse brings her joy every time she uses it. It's going on over a year old with heavy use and it looks as perfect as the day I unwrapped it from being shipped.

I buy all the hide and fur I use for making moccasins from Tribal Spirit. The quality is amazing, and the variety is much appreciated. I also really love the traditional medicines they have available. There is often a kind note in the delivery - handwritten telling you that they sent a little extra. 🥺 As a customer, I feel a connection with this store - from the descriptions they create to describe a colour of hide, to the small batch herbal remedies, to the very fast response and kind you’ll receive if you have a question. 10 stars.
