Product Description

Have you ever heard of the expression, “you don’t know what you don’t know until you know it.” I personally detest and resent the fact that I don’t know what I don’t know. I often (I mean several times a day) ask myself “what the heck is it that I don’t know and how do I find out?”

This brain riddle applied to a bolt of electric genius this week. One of the most popular items we create for you are our Coloured Scrap Bags. Every once in a while we gather up enough ‘scraps’ and Joywind makes up a bunch of bags. We tell you about them….and then they sell out in 12 hours…and we are left saying sorry to everyone who slept through the announcement.

We currently have an abundance of leather..and we really need to move some cuz the shelves are filling up. We just can’t just cut up all these amazing hides into scrap bags….that would be dumb. But we realized the reason that you love our scrap bags so much is the variety of colours and the generous sizes of our ‘scraps’.

AND brainwave!! We are going to sort through some of our hides cut out the bad stuff and create a bunch of #1 grade hides and create the most amazing Tribal Mystery Box.

You could call these our LARGE scrap bags but they are NOT scraps!! If you have specific colour preferences please mention them in the order notes box, we will do our best.

** For those who would like the moose natural box to be 5.5oz pieces just mention it in the special request box :)

The item I got surpassed my expectations. The gasp I gasped when I opened the box and removed the paper! This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and it was a pleasure to engage with the staff via email when I had questions. I will treasure this piece and be returning for more!

The custom painted horse in the spirit of my wife's late horse brings her joy every time she uses it. It's going on over a year old with heavy use and it looks as perfect as the day I unwrapped it from being shipped.

I buy all the hide and fur I use for making moccasins from Tribal Spirit. The quality is amazing, and the variety is much appreciated. I also really love the traditional medicines they have available. There is often a kind note in the delivery - handwritten telling you that they sent a little extra. 🥺 As a customer, I feel a connection with this store - from the descriptions they create to describe a colour of hide, to the small batch herbal remedies, to the very fast response and kind you’ll receive if you have a question. 10 stars.
